Who is occupied? (still writing/editing)

The only way to end corporate rule is through community subsistence and abandonment of industrial streams. We need to be free to pursue the right to choose to live off the land instead of having only the option of working for money. Money is for gold and other such extravagances, not the basic requirements for life. Until we accept and act upon this we will remain a class of disorganized slaves trying to change illusions by patronizing the problem.

We have come to this point because we participated in this contrived economy and became over-sophistocated. I don't suggest living in caves any more than I support widening roads or Mountain Top Removal. Progress at this point though is abandoning the sinking ship, not demanding control of the helm or say in which way we steer.

The economy is dead. We need more fresh water; more sustainable agriculture/permiculture so we can out live technology, not more opportunity be slaves to it's industry.

I respect this movement, if i didn't I wouldn't be contemplating its chances of fruition, much less paying any attention to it. However it is aimed in the wrong direction. I don't think you can call it "organic self-organizing" either for we are simply victims of circumstance. Many of these people have no choice or simply have nothing better to do. nonviolence is not a 9-5 occupation nor is it an weekend affair. Many only attend these protests on days off from work or school. It is good that they attend but there is more to a movement than getting noticed. This may be critical and harsh, but we must see things for what they are or we will continue to be victims. Those who live there, they misunderstand the dynamics of the dominating system. At some point they will have to turn on the "no spokes person" nobodies in charge mantra for they will be invited to speak to the gov't as a group of representatives (see Power Shift 2011).

Many are inspired by the masses that grow but a social movement needs directed at the roots of the multitude of issues; Gandhi marched for salt and King called for civil rights. Unless this movement simply wants to become bourgeoisie, it must break free from the ideology it stand opposed to. I say this only to emphasize the need to work towards something in an open and deliberate fashion, whether that be anarchy or other wise. What do I mean by this? Let us look at power shift 2011.

With out going into too many details, power shift was a event where young people where trained how to organize in a weekend convention. It focused on direct action and used the term nonviolence as if it was as simple as choosing which shirt to put on in the morining. The short of it is this: a handful of the organizers were invited to the white house. At that point they became a representative democracy as there was no consensus work done ad it was the voices of those who went to the white house that was heard what is the point? That is how this system works. At some point it was come to this- a handful of Occupy organizers will be asked to attend a high power meeting and in an instant everything they say they are, or, are not, will be erased.

If you want to start a social movement you must understand in theory, the fundamental objective of the art of conflict: deception. Ideological nonviolence of course does not deceive, but it does not ignore the governing dynamics of the situation it sets out to affect.

Open-mindedness does not mean everything is acceptable, much to the contrary. It is a honing of perception and an quickening of resolve. How many revolutions need we see in our history before we explore a different way? When will we allow for social evolution? This means on an ideological level for if our ideas are rooted in this structure the results of our efforts will simply be more of the same.

I understand, in theory at least, the nature of social control and the art of conflict: Deception. And to be clear, this is a movement about "what is right". when the White House opens to My respect is for this, it always has been. I include The Rivers and The Mountains and the myriad Life into this consideration. Corporations will never change this, it is not what they are designed to do.

Humility of Man

To what do we owe humility? Is a teacher humble to a student or the lesson? Is man to be humble to man, or to the sum? In the interested of personal growth I express my humility not to man, but to the sum of all that is; the ever expanding world perceived by all levels of being. In this physical world my humility is reserved for the rules, not the players. My love is limitless, but my humbleness is to serve all by allowing truth to shine bright in me. To the truth I am humble, not to opinion or contradictory law, or other things that are designed to belittle and deprive strength. I am not humble to the schools of thought that blindly wield knowledge, severing the connectedness of the community of life in the name of anthropocentric prosperity. I am not humble to the believers who condemn all as sinners and blacking out the light inside children, selling the mortal rites of discovery the God of Kings. I am not humble to spiritual depravity, bodily toxifaction and limitation of conscious.

I am humble to the life and light inside of all things. I am humble to discipline and the expressions of the energetic self. I am humble to the nameless sum that inspires all things, light and dark and to the balance that reaches from my breath to the beginning of the cosmos again, and again.

aloha, in the presence of the breath of life.
I work now to inspire total health. In my evolution I am at the point where it is the individual's perception that must be healed. We must transcend the effects of fear, knowledge and ego to reach a open perspective.

As energy I have been directing sound for most of my life. the emotion of song can be conveyed to millions of people. Sound is emotion, it is energy. Intention can be conveyed through lyric, but it can come through in the sound as well. The simplest sound can have the most profound impact.

In my work, I still rely on the wild places to heal; expand the perspective. I have refined my meditation practice as well as the sound. I remove myself as much as I can from my work and seek to create an environment where individuals detach from ego to allow for the truer self; the energetic self to expand in the space opened up.

It is quite simple and in western medicine best expressed as "reducing swelling". Healthy egos are the beginning of perception.

observations

Letting go of the notion of individuality is where community lies. IT is by nature we are who we are, our egoic impressions and expressions matter not to our character- we are who we are, our beauty shines as natural as the sun, there is no need to exert ourselves. Disagreement would come from insecurity and fear, two things that are products of our knowledge-based, misinformed.

From grade school report cards to car and career choices we are bred to compare. We drawl lines to separate us from others and things we feel are not representative of the person we are. This is self-oppression. One who cares not for the ambient regard for their ego and simply does as they feel through a path of self discovery and study of connection between mind, body and soul in this world, will incite both disgust and inspiration on levels consummate to the purity they find. This is balance and can best be related to the garden, where the gardener who cultivates healthful food must pull "weeds".

We must not seek happiness for it is omnipresent. We must refine our sense of appreciation instead. What we chase "in the pursuit of happiness" is distraction from the whole of reality. One is no more entitled to happiness then they are to controlling the weather. All emotions equal health and to become fixated on anyone thing is to loose perspective on the most profound level.

There is inherent problem with knowledge; it will never be enough to over come ignorance. Knowledge is an abstraction of the totality of what is and therefore through knowledge one isnt even looking at the right picture. When emphasis is placed on knowledge, while at the same time nature, intuition and instinct are obscured and forgotten, a inner void is created. In the void something must balance out knowledge. To know is to be confident; secure. The balance is to not know and be fearful. The more we grow into a knowledge based culture the greater our fear of the unknown becomes. We can only transcend the affect of fear by transcending the desire for knowledge. Further, to experience emotions as knowledge, such as to "know" what makes you happy is to enslave yourself to the ego and deprive your total being access to the manifestation. This can be seen culturally in Art and entertainment, where works become products and inspiration becomes sales margins.

"It is what it is". A fool's wisdom. IT is what you make it and to accept the moment as a thing you are not part of; have no influence of is to miss the whole point entirely. We choose our beliefs and in this sense we choose between a world desitin to die where we are participants in the killing, or a world suffering from neglect and we are the ones to break the cycle and begin anew. Though I am not fond of the word "hope" or any other inert concepts, I would call upon those who hold it as a central component tho their belief, to place it on fundamental levels independent of any lines created by economy. Instead of hope I would like to use intention, that we would intend to do something, which after study and understanding, would bring about action more suited to change the situation to a beteer, or more natural dynamic.

How about this: Be the Change you wish to see in the world. But look deeper for we can not create a new world by building off of old foundations.

Wu Wei

"We must first learn how to climb mountains, but when we are ready to climb them we will know only our breath".

Flow oriented action, as natural as the movement of the trees in the wind. In a way, it is the definition of Taoism; Wu Wei. It is the same as "not doing" in Zen. It can be expressed in art form, adventure, and the simplest of activities such as washing dishes; it is a question of discipline. What is the difference between simple action and disciplined action? Ego.

In a flash, Sound Therapy

To the vibration; the energy, we owe just about everything from the sensation of taste to the dreams and real life moments that touch so deeply. As a musician I have been practicing the actuation of vibration with intention for many circles around the sun. In the past circle I began to practice sound therapy influenced by traditional Tibetan Buddhist, Hindu and Taoist practices. I emphasize 'influence' for music in its purest form has always been an expression of the moment; the fruit of Wu Wei. In his interpretation of the "Tao Te Ching", Stephen Mitchell writes "If I haven't always translated Lao-Tzu's words, my intention has always been to translate his mind. It is in this spirit I have practiced the art of sound therapy; not as it was done then but as it grows in me. Tonight was an immense moment in my learning. As you might imagine, the dynamics of sound, or, acoustics are very particular, after all it is a science as well as art. A frequency is as precise as a degree and has an influence of matter; energy just as temperature does on water. Many frequencies have little effect, just as many degrees have little effect. But just as there are thresholds, such as the temperature at which water turns for liquid to soil; liquid to vapor, there are indeed thresholds with frequencies in relation to matter. The main threshold being the specific frequency at which a particular mass resonates, such as the human eyeball which is around 8 Hz according to NASA. Everything resonates. Everything is resonating. Any kind of therapy only works with the subjects "participation", and when it comes to subtle therapies; ones that effect energy flow, emotional or mental health, participation is often a difficult thing for it requires a continuity throughout one's intention, action, concentration; total presents of being. this in itself is the often the crux of these kinds of therapies. When lightning occurs it creates thunder, which is a complex sound with many harmonics at fantastic volume, or pressure. The fundamental frequency of thunder according the Schumann Resonance is approx. 7.5 Hz. I have been researching Infrasonic waves and have come to the conclusion that they can be very beneficial to the body/mind if used deliberately. The good part is that these waves travel around the world so you don't have to be in the exact spot as the storm, but it would naturally make it more effective. They can also be created by ocean waves and other natural events like an avalanch. I think spending time on raw earth barefoot regularly is fundamental to total health. I also think the frequencies generated in lightening storms are also greatly beneficial to total health provided you are intentionally there to recieve the benefit. If for no other reason than to bathe the body in the awe of natural resonance, amid the overwhelming artificial frequencies we are bombarded with each second of each day.

In time with our Biology: Circadian Rhythm

Circadian Biology covers the vast realm of the Life Sciences. The word Circa means 'around' and dies means 'day'. It is the study of the influence of the daily cycle our planet in relation to the Sun and other energetically influential cosmic bodies, such as the moon, has on biology, or, life. Plants and mammals alike function in rhythm with this cycle of day and night and seasonal change.

Circadian Biology is as crucial as water or air to our health. Effects of deviation for this rhythm include sleep disorders, behavioral disorders and depression. On a more subtle level, being out of time with our nature invites disease and sickness.

In our modern world there is no appreciation for the Circadian Rhythm, our cities never sleep and though it is natural to "howl at the moon" we subject ourselves to artificial light and digital noises and pursue a style of entertainment born of technology.

A fire and a drum. Dancing in moonlight and rising with the sun. Before you take a pill or try to heal through retreat, try getting in time with your circadian rhythm and steeping in it. To feel the natural strength, clarity and sense of harmony you must not only try it, you must maintain the rhythm until it becomes, well, natural. Here is how to do this:

Upon waking "Bathe in the Sun". Starting the day is a momentous event and we should express this every morning. Prepare all that you need to rise from the warmth and comfort of bed the night before, like a robe or slippers. In fact, dedicate space in the bedroom for these provisions so you room will be equally about rest as it is about return to vibrancy. When you awake, rise and go to the most sunny spot in your house and feel the warmth. Eventually you should try going outside in the first moments of the new day. IT only takes a moment; don't over think it, just experience it.

In the height of day seek the height of activity. In the afternoon a healthy body is naturally energized and concentration levels are peaked. This is the ideal time to exercise strenuously and seek challenge. The body is always ready for work, this is just the time energy is naturall focused for optimum coordination and skill.

Eat early in the evening Digestion is naturally supressed later in the evening. It is much healthier to avoid eating after 6 or 7 o'clock.

Let the light of day go dark Aftern the sun sets it is important to allow for a drastic change in ambiant lighting. Light pollution is one of the most underestimated influences in our nature. Light effects our behaviour in ways much like being awake without sleep for extened peroids does- we are still healthy relitivly speaking, but we are closer to sickness and emotionally weak. It is just as important to personally welcome the night you do the day- go outside and look up at the stars if only for a moment. In the evening use light sparingly, or better yet use candles or oil lamps. Learn how to make candles, use pure bee's wax whcih will go further to support bee keepers and the movment to save the honey bee.

Invite sleep, don't go seeking Let your day drift into night, enjoy the company of family, and seek the company of friends occasionally. Choose activities that bring you into peaceful spirits and make it a point to spend some time (15 min. or more) by yourself. Relaxation is a state of health and good sleep comes to those relaxed. Practice deep breating and meditation every evening. This should not be confused with prayer as meditation is an exercise to relax the mind and allow thoughts to come and go without focus or contemplation.

I must mention discipline once again. The modern world is not a place for Circadian Rhythm. It will require effort in the beginning and call to change habbit. The change will have great benefit to one's presents and sense of connection to all things.

Transcending Religion: Self-Discipline

Yoga is the Sanskrit term for discipline. Buddhism or Taoism, aside for the millions of books, are simply about getting over attachment, ego and material desires by practicing discipline. Zen as well. Discipline is simply doing something right, which indeed requires a sort of focus, but more a complete presents in the moment without wanting more than is at hand. Contemplation and study lead to understanding. Understanding leads to letting go. This is what it means to practice discipline. The eight fold path is as about eloquent as it gets. In western terms, which are usually crude, the saying "perfect practice makes perfect" is a good interpretation. It is important though to understand it is a practice, not a perfection.

Without discipline matters requiring action are left to belief. To "believe in truth" is an oxymoron. To practice discipline yield truth and this is precisely why eastern philosophy has been reduced to religion in the western world. The difference between Taoism as a discipline vs a belief, is the disciplined will be carried by the Tao as a surfer upon a wave, the religious will worship the surfer. The difference between Christianity as a discipline vs a belief: Jesus.

Belief is not all together bad, provided it is not founded on prescribed doctrine or deities. God alone is; this is Hindu. God is creation; this is Christian. In both cases you cannot do anything; think anything or believe anything that is separate or contrary to God. The one who tells you "you are a sinner", or you are at odds with God is the one who stands between you and God. God is within as it were. There is no need for proof, only growth from that point. And after all, "God" is a label like "Pope" that is used to coral, or, focus belief on something other than the subtle truth of life; that we are one and as the sum are a direct extension of the expression of omnipotence. This is what is meant by "organized community". Discipline is the glue of community. Belief is the line of separation.

"Alone one struggles. Together many flourish."

Do we need more entertainment, or do we need a deeper sense of appreciation?

Do we need better health care or do we need to lead healthier lives?

Do we need a government more receptive to our needs or do we need to be less receptive to our wants?

Aloha; breath; love and everything else

In one breath

Words are often mistaken as the way we communicate. Though we can explain our intentions with words, it is only through our actions that we truely convey what we mean. Words are the abstraction of action. The concept of the Eight Fold Path goes further in expressing my intention here.

Believe in Bare Feet

There are some things that you hear and you what them to be true so you believe. There are other things that you hear and when you think about them are true as shown by the way of the world. This is what we build our belief from. Energy, as a force connecting, causing and perpetuating the flow of atoms to the enormity of the sum is one of the things that if you think about you will feel its truth.

To be healthy, walk bare foot each day. Make true contact with the earth for tow logical reasons: allow what ever static charge that has built up in your body discharge, and feel energy that is inherent in the the planet. The latter will require practice as you might be desensitized by years of unintentional bare foot walking. Indeed, like playing a bamboo flute, you must relearn how to breath with intention.

Stay warm, love more than you did before

Denaturing the Human

There is balance between the natural world, the intellectual world and the spiritual world. Nature is the only means to awaken the depths of the natural being just as study is the only way to awaken the depths of the intellectual mind. We cannot replace one with another; Thirds of the Whole- Mind Body Soul. There is no "only way" in life, there is balance or there is endless cascading of consequence. To think we can be whole and healthy without nature would be a product of strict intellectual belief for we know of nothing outside of nature.

A working knowledge of the natural world is the greatest root for rational thinking. If left to the intellect alone there is no limit to what will be concluded as fact (Aristotle and his belief that heavy objects fell faster than lighter objects). Knowledge is vulnerable to the powerful and historically has been used as a tool for oppression, whether by direct information/misinformation or the suppression of. Einstein would of said it is imagination that inspires knowledge, he would of also spoke of the importance of the milky way to gaze upon to grow imagination.

The imagination is a natural thing capable of creating that which has never been known before. Imagination, just as the night sky, has been greatly effected by industrialization and media. Children are awe inspired by movies rather than the true mysteries of nature. They enter into the world led by technology and understand nature to be a city park or tract of land surrounded by highyways or neighborhoods.
Unlike the intellect, nature is limited. It cannot be controlled by man like an economy. This is why greedy men must destroy it rather than allow the people to understand it. Nature is where we were once free, and it is though nature that we can overcome the capitalistic oppression. First world culturalization has been a process of removal from the natural world; you can't control a people who know how to live off the land.
There is a subtlety to nature as well that cannot be known by any other means than in-depth experience. This requires a great level of discipline and time. It requires one to transcend the notions of comfort and ego, to face fears and find a greater sense of connection; sense of self in the community of creation, rather than alone in the narrow minded race of mankind. If one never tastes fresh water from a mountain stream they will not know the purity of nature. They will know only manufactured purity: acceptable levels of pollution; cancer and disease. Just as a polluted river is undrinkable, the men and women of modern culture are polluted in their mind and body.

We must transcend mind and body to learn from the spirit. If the body is unhealthy with pollutants and the mind corrupt with lies, it leaves one anchored to ego/attachment, ill equipped to let go and flow into the soul. "The burdens of the body weigh heavy upon the mind. A mind weakened with lies cannot overcome these burdens and will seek attachment to ego rather than letting go. Religious dogma will cauterize this wound. It will satisfy the seeker's unrest due to the broken connection and suppress the imagination through symbolic belief. A slave in mind and body will call confuse spirit with intellect and love with attachment." The most unique human characteristic is the ability to convince ourselves of anything- to believe anything.

What about the evolution of culture; "the children born into this without a choice". When balance is lost there is no choice but to go with the fall. A child has no choice because they have been removed from nature and are subjects to the will of the contrivances of intellect alone. Author Richard Louv writes on this in his book "Last Child In the Woods" . The result of a "denatured" being can be seen at the zoo: animals in cages estranged from their instincts. On a cultural level we see succeeding generations with increasing numbers of distracted, maladjusted children. A child will see clearly if distractions are removed- that is nature, which we are at odds with. Instead of acknowledging distractions we administer psycho-active drugs to chemically adjust the natural function of the brain. This is the product of unchecked intellectual domination of nature, both of the land and of our species.

Spiritual existence thrives through a connection to nature as well as physical health and stimulated intellect.
Knowledge can be contrived, nature cannot- this is balance.
The body acts out what the mind thinks- this is balance.
The soul is timeless, the self is in time- this is balance.

"I am not the energy, the energy is me."

the junk, they say
is nothing more than the lowest pleasure in the pile
I say love complete, free junk
they say they are the rulers

a junkie
I am nothing more than the lowest breathing child, not lovable
I scheme to relieve the burden to the soil
I run in the dark, to the darker shadows
I bring a little light

they see
they say "junkie in the dark"
they say, soaked in light, vibrant like a lie discovered
they drown a junkie's breath
they speak for him and profess:
No arguing, amid misspoken and crude compassion
drift on junkie, go back to shadows

The Pile
a circle of pleasure;
some better because they cost
some worse because they're free
free junk though, like breathing
I paid the gist but
I missed the blink- it just stared into my eye as I was breathing
I acted as I would in a memory, in fact I act the same even when I forget
My words spoke: Love Complete
but they were the rulers, they drift on dollars
sweat lie and leave muddy faced junkies to drown in cities breath
create guilt and draw a hard line that the rain doesn't even clean;
grow a garden that doesn't feed a child, and bury everything in the ground
